Tbilisi Art Fair 2026

From 21 to 24 May 2026, Anka Akhalaia participated in the international contemporary art fair Tbilisi Art Fair in Tbilisi. The artist presented her works in the HIVE section at Expo Georgia.

Anka’s practice explores human consciousness and the relationship between reason and emotion. Dream imagery becomes a starting point for abstract compositions in which memories and experiences take shape through colour, line and texture.

The artist’s official Tbilisi Art Fair listing features four works created in 2026: After Dawn, In the Silence of the Leaves, Tenderness of Touch and Close to the Heart. All four are painted in oil on canvas, with oil pastel also used in three of the works.

Anka’s paintings leave room for personal interpretation. Free-flowing lines and combinations of colour invite viewers to draw on their own associations, memories and emotional experiences.
